Virginia Beach, VA—November 02, 2010—SteelMaster Buildings today announced the launch of a Spanish-language website to better connect with consumers throughout the United States and across the globe.

Based in Virginia Beach, VA, SteelMaster Buildings represents more than 28 years of premium quality manufacturing, providing steel arch buildings and roofing systems to 40,000 + customers throughout the world, including buildings located in every state in the United States, on six continents, and in more than 40 overseas countries.

The new website provides individuals access to SteelMaster product and application information, blogs, videos, and news in Spanish. This initiative is part of a larger outreach campaign to better serve this consumer base, both in the U.S. and internationally. Already on staff are four SteelMaster representatives who are fluent in Spanish, and thereby able to provide customer service to these consumers in their language of preference.

“We pride ourselves in our attention to detail, focus on customer service, and desire to meet and exceed our customers’ requirements and expectations,” says Michelle Wickum, director of marketing for SteelMaster. “SteelMaster has a thriving international presence, so it only makes sense to employ Spanish-speaking employees on our team and create a Spanish-language website.”

According to the 2009 American Community Survey conducted by the United States Census Bureau, Spanish is the primary language spoken at home in America by more than 35.5 million people aged 5 or older. There are 45 million people who speak Spanish as a first or second language, and there are 6 million Spanish-speaking students, making it the world’s second-largest Spanish-speaking community, only after Mexico and ahead of Spain, Colombia, and Argentina. Throughout the world, approximately 330 million people speak Spanish as their first language and perhaps another 50 million as a second language.

“The Spanish-language website http://www.steelmasterestructuras.com mirrors the information found on our company’s English-language website www.steelmasterusa.com,” says Wickum. “We are driven to provide all consumers with as enriching an experience as possible when they do business with SteelMaster, regardless of where they live or which language they speak.”

Located throughout Latin America and Spain are various SteelMaster distributers who are able to provide technical support and customer service to consumers at a local level.
