Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (TSRHC) is proud to announce that Peggy and Dan Meyer, M.D. will serve as 2009 Treasure Street event chairs. The Meyers have been involved with TSRHC for many years, and their leadership of this year’s Treasure Street is a tremendous addition to the hospital’s signature event, which will be held Oct. 22 at Highland Park Village. “An Evening in Paris” will be the theme for the event.

“Peggy and Dan are beautiful people, and we are thrilled to have them on board this year,” said J. C. Montgomery, Jr., TSRHC president. “They really have a heart for the Dallas community, and now, more than ever, we rely on our friends so that we can continue to care for Texas children.”

TSRHC also proudly announces that Pat and Claude Prestidge, M.D., have been named 2009 Honorary Event Chairs. Christi and Hal Urschel, III, M.D., will serve as the 2010 Treasure Street event chairs. Honorary Board Chairmen of Treasure Street are Margaret Carter and Harold Carter.

“We are honored that these families would commit their time and talents to leading this important event,” said Dodge Carter, Treasure Street chairman of the board and parent of a TSRHC patient. “With these Dallas philanthropists at the helm, I am excited to see how their involvement will take Treasure Street to the next level. Ultimately, we are all working together to improve the lives of all of the children treated at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.”

Treasure Street is a live and silent auction, which was established in 1996 by a group of TSRHC patient families with children affected by Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC). The event has grown from a small gathering to an outdoor gala under the stars with more than a 1,000 attendees, extravagant auction items, five-star cuisine and proceeds to date of more than $6.3 million. To accommodate its growth and increasing popularity, Treasure Street, which was once held on the hospital’s grounds, is now held at Highland Park Village and benefits all children treated at TSRHC. TSRHC is proud to have FDLuxe and Highland Park Village as sponsors of Treasure Street. For more information, please visit http://www.tsrhc.org or http://www.treasurestreet.com.
