Summer is officially upon us and what better way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon than with a genteel game of croquet?
A traditional summer activity that can be played as a competitive sport or a more leisurely pastime, croquet has been popular for many years. It is thought to have been invented in its present form around the 1800s, although similar games were played as far back as the 1600s, and it has spawned several variants across the world, including golf croquet and an American game called roquet. There are still several variants of croquet played and one of the best things about the game is it can be adapted to fit playing areas large and small. Therefore, a croquet set is an excellent addition to your collection of sporting equipment.
Jaques Croquet sets are among the most famous and trusted brands in the modern croquet market and at Priory Sports you will find such sets to suit all levels of ability and all styles of play.
