Portland, OR – October 12, 2010 – Jeff Saliba, founder of the tutor saliba learning method, recently attended the Educators in Business conference in New York City. As the keynote speaker, he shared his experiences as an educator of both children and adults.

“Even as adults, we never stop learning,” said Saliba. “For this reason, business owners need to reach out to their employees and help them become better experts in their field.”

The two-day conference focused on how employers can broaden the knowledge base of their workers through training classes, webinars and hands-on learning.

“People learn in different ways. Some of us respond better to visual or auditory learning techniques, while others need to engage in oral interaction to master the important points of our industries,” said Saliba. “This conference was about finding the best ways to keep employees at the top of their field by furthering their education.”

More than 300 people attended the Educators in Business Conference, now in its second year. Company representatives from more than 100 different fields joined forces to learn about different strategies for continuing education in the workplace.

In his address, Saliba discussed the challenges and triumphs that workers face in their everyday jobs and how the tutor saliba method can be used in businesses such as retail and real estate to continue the educational process as adults.

The program is an offshoot of the teaching method Saliba developed after tutoring a student with learning disabilities. The principles are used for students in kindergarten through high school age, in vocational and technological programs and in the business sector as well.
