Troy, MI, January 20, 2010 — Classic menswear designer William Malcolm has issued a national challenge to corporations and business across the country. The designer is asking corporations and supporters to “Dress for the success of our youth”.

The clothing line offers custom suits, tuxedos, shirts and accessories for men nationwide. The Suit Project is a mentorship based program for young men ages 18-22 that focuses on self empowerment, educational advancement, career discovery and interview preparation. The program also examines the impact of the misogynistic lyrics and destructive images that have become all too prevalent in today’s popular music and music videos. The 10 week program directly confronts the epidemic crisis of father absenteeism throughout the homes in America. At the conclusion of the 10 week program successful graduates are awarded with a complete graduation ceremony and honors dinner along with a tailored suit. The young men; now equipped with a support group as well as a more positive outlook regarding their futures are now ready to make a difference in their communities by exploring educational advancement as well as internships and career opportunities that were secured with corporations and schools that are supportive of the mission of The Suit Project.

In an effort to generate additional support and funding to continue the work of the nonprofit organization in Michigan as well as throughout the country. (WMLC) has initiated a national campaign that will help to generate much needed funding for the mentorship organization. This initiative will also help participating corporations to increase their professionalism and maximize the individual personal brands of their employees and associates; this will lead to higher sales, more clients gained and more company successes. In today’s competitive business environment it is of the utmost importance that professionals appear competent, successful and an expert in their field. The proper business apparel will help to assist with this goal.

For the remainder of 2010 (WMLC) will donate 5% from every order that is placed from an employee or associate of a participating company or firm that is enrolled in the Apparel Perks Program associated with his/ her company or organization. The company started the program to service the needs of busy professionals. Perks members receive discounts and special offers on (WMLC) entire line of offerings: custom designed suits, shirts, business wear and accessories. Clients also receive additional perks such as the use of a dedicated toll free number in which their sales professionals and support staff can call for assistance with questions or concerns in how they should present themselves in any sales setting, client consultation or social business meeting. Perks members may order custom clothing at anytime using the collections award winning interactive website. Clients are also able to place orders directly from one of the collections concierge team members whom will come directly to their home or office to complete their order.

When asked about his clothing line and fundraising initiative William stated. “I look forward to the day when programs such as The Suit Project will no longer be necessary in communities across America. However until that day arrives. I have made it my mission in life to stand in the gap in regards to the lack of male role models in our society. We have to assist these young men to develop into productive contributors and fathers for the betterment of our society. Less than 2% of all of the young men that have enrolled in this program had fathers or father figures in the home throughout their childhood. This is why many of them do not know how a responsible man is supposed to conduct himself in matters of business, relationships and life. My goal is to raise funding and resources so that I am able to integrate The Suit Project in additional cities across the country. My office has been flooded with calls from parents, churches and young men across the country that want to implement or enroll in The Suit Project and I want to be able to accommodate them.
