November 25, 2009 – The leading news source for the global football business, World Football Insider (www.worldfootballinsider.com), will provide comprehensive on-the-scene coverage at the annual convention for the international football industry, Soccerex.

WFI publisher Sheila Scott Hula and correspondent James Corbett will cover the two-day football festival and three-day conference in Johannesburg, Nov. 28 to Dec. 2.

“World Football Insider will continue providing unparalleled on-the-scene news reporting that our readers can rely on for breaking news and exclusive stories,” said WFI editor Mark Bisson.

Keynote speeches by FIFA president Sepp Blatter, 2010 World Cup Organizing Committee CEO Danny Jordaan and his Brazil 2014 counterpart, Ricardo Teixeira, are among the event’s highlights. German football legend Franz Beckenbauer also will address the conference.

WFI will provide the first word on UEFA Champions League’s new sales and media rights strategy. WFI also will publish a daily conference diary about the activities at Soccerex.

“Soccerex is the biggest football conference on the calendar, and anyone who is anyone will be there,” said Hula. “We are delighted to be among the exclusive media partners.”

Adding to its coverage in South Africa, WFI will visit Soccer City, the venue for next summer’s World Cup final, and then head downtown to Soweto.

“We will speak to ordinary South Africans. We want to find out what the World Cup means to them and how it will affect them,” Corbett said.

World Football Insider also will report from Cape Town Dec. 2 on the World Cup organizing committee briefing. Later that day, WFI will cover FIFA president Sepp Blatter’s emergency meeting with the FIFA Executive Committee on the incidents and issues associated with the World Cup playoffs. Corbett also will be on hand for the FIFA Executive Committee meeting at Robben Island.
