Party City, America’s largest discount party supplies retailer, has launched its fifth new franchise in less than two months, this time in Humble, Texas.
The Humble store opened for business on September 17, 2010, just in time for Party City’s annual Halloween retail spike. Halloween costume and accessory sales account for the lion’s share Party City’s yearly business, and Party City has geared up for the season by hiring more than 10,000 temporary workers nationwide to serve as cashiers, greeters, and customer support representatives, among other roles.
Since September 1, 2010, Party City has placed new stores in Monroe NY, Irving TX, Carbondale IL, and Carmel IN. Party City’s online division has also expanded, hiring new staff and making major improvements to PartyCity.com.
